KurdTube ("we", "us", or "the platform") is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.
By creating an account or using the KurdTube service, you consent to the practices described in this document.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account information
When you register, we collect your name, username, email address, and password. Passwords are never stored in readable form; we store only a cryptographic hash from which the original password cannot practically be recovered.
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive only your name, email address, and profile picture. We have no access to your Google account password.
1.2 Content you create
Any content you submit — videos, images, stories, posts, comments, courses, and direct messages — is stored on our systems so that the service can display it.
1.3 Usage information
To operate and secure the platform, we record:
- Watch history, follows, and interactions such as likes and comments
- IP address and sign-in timestamps
- Device type, operating system, and browser
- Push notification tokens, if you have granted permission
1.4 Payment information
Purchases are processed through a licensed third-party payment provider. We never receive or store your card number or detailed financial information. We record only the outcome of the transaction, the amount, and a transaction reference.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information solely to:
- Provide and administer your account
- Display content and recommend relevant material
- Send notifications related to your account activity
- Complete purchases and manage creator earnings
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and breaches of our Terms
- Produce aggregate statistics that help us improve the platform
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, for advertising or for any other commercial purpose.
3. Automated Content Screening
To keep the platform safe, images and videos uploaded to KurdTube are screened automatically for inappropriate material. This screening runs without human involvement. Where a result is uncertain, our moderation team reviews the content manually.
4. Sharing With Third Parties
KurdTube relies on a small number of technical providers to operate. Each receives only the information necessary for its function:
- Google — identity verification for sign-in
- Bunny.net — video storage and delivery
- Railway — server hosting and database
- Cloudflare — network protection and content delivery
- Licensed payment provider — payment processing
- Email provider — verification and password reset messages
Beyond these, we disclose information to authorities only where a valid and enforceable legal order requires it.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
KurdTube uses cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your chosen language, and preserve your personal settings. These are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
6. Security
All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed, and access to the database is restricted.
No electronic system is entirely free of risk. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we commit to applying recognised professional safeguards.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account remains active. After you delete your account, your personal data and content are removed from our active systems. Limited technical or financial records may be retained for a restricted period where the law requires it.
8. Your Rights
Every user has the right to:
- Access their personal data and request a copy of it
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
- Delete their account entirely, from the account settings
- Withdraw consent to notifications at any time
- Raise a complaint about how their data has been handled
9. Children
KurdTube is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child below this age, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Where a change is substantial, we will notify users through the platform or by email. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
